High in the mountains of Peru, in some of the most rural growing conditions in the world, is a group of 50 farmers growing incredible coffee. Selected for their superior quality from a wider organic co-operative, this project allows our roaster to work with very small coffee farmers on exclusive lots and bring their remarkable coffees to our customers.

Explore is always roasted on Bertha – a hand-restored vintage Probat roaster, to a style that enhances the intense sweetness of this coffee. Expect notes of chocolate & toffee with a nutty finish.

If you decide to cut out caffeine, you shouldn’t have to miss out on exceptional coffee flavour – and it’s never been truer than now. Retreat uses the sugarcane E.A. decaffeination process which is unlike any other in its ability to retain exceptional flavour while using natural extraction methods. Using coffee from La Marianela means that, in addition to growing one of their most sustainable coffee partnerships, our roaster can consistently improve quality and give 100% traceability from crop to cup.

A stunning range of coffees ground for cafetiere/filter. Also known as omni grind. Due to the increasing demand for our wholesale kilo bags of Coast and Moor coffee we added a retail range. Now customers can drink it in their favourite cafe and buy a bag to take home. Discover and Explore are both powerful ground blends but there is also a beans options. You can even have decaf. We wanted to create truly outstanding and sustainable coffee, one that fits with the rugged coastline and dramatic moors of our home in North Devon. So we searched for the world’s very best Arabica coffees to bring together this sustainable range of coffees in partnership with our roastery and roasted in the West Country.

The search for the perfect Coast & Moor beans is no easy feat. Adventures to Northern Peru unearthed the exceptional beans we use for our Discover and Explore range. Supporting local co-operatives of farmers is as important to us as the flavours themselves and so we are incredibly pleased to be working with co-operatives in the counties of Jaen and San Ignacio.
